My Birthday Bash

The boys wrestling and Marisa wondering what is going on.
Weston and Tanner are loving the free ride.

We love Ruby's.

I am officially 32 and I know I'm getting older when I have to spend my birthday at Cub Scout Camp. It was actually pretty fun. Grandma, Cookie, Maddie, and Gabi were at my house when we got home and we went to the water park and then out to dinner at Islands and then to Golden Spoon for dessert. I was a wonderful birthday. These other pictures are from Haylie's 10th birthday party. We went to the Balboa Pier and ate Breakfast at Ruby's and then rode a huge bike along the Boardwalk. We fit 12 people on the bike and we got lots of crazy stares. She had a fun time with her friends. Now I have to go to bed because I have to be a Cub Camp at 7am again tomorrow. We wanted to wish Abby a happy baptism day and we wish we could be there with her.

Meeting Marisa on Father's Day

Father's Day was a lot of fun. Tim and Tanya surprised us and showed up as we were leaving for church. Marisa is so cute and the kids just loved her. Tanner would not leave her alone and I don't think that is going to change any time soon. In that one picture he is trying to put a crown on her. Wayne is opening his Tommy Bahama golf shirt and his Titleist Pro V1 golf balls.
Since Dad always asks what the menu is we had steak, baked potatoes, rolls, Caesar salad, fruit with fruit dip and a selection of dessert including cheesecake, key lime pie, and brownies and ice cream.

Happy Father's Day

I have such wonderful Fathers in my life and I am so grateful. This is one of my favorite pictures of Matt. The kids are so lucky to have such a great dad and we all love him. I would also like to tell my dad and father-in-law Happy Father's Day and thank you for being such great dads and wonderful examples of love and generosity.

An Oldie but Goodie

This is our family three years ago. We are in South Carolina. It is hard to believe how much we've grown. Boy those days were hard!

Singer's Company

Haylie is in a group called Singer's Company. In this picture she is singing a solo to "Tomorrow" from the Annie musical. Everyone's favorite songs and dances were from High School Musical.
Here are the brothers waiting for the show to start.

Summer is Coming

It's getting hot and we can tell that summer is in the air. Only one more week until school's out and two weeks until Grandma Hart arrives for the beach house. Haylie was practicing for her school play today on the risers at school and the boy in front of her fainted and he landed on his face and his nose was gushing blood and he left in an ambulance. That was the big news of the day. Also I had my last ever playgroup at my house today and with 10 minutes to go one of the kids flooded the downstairs toilet. Got to love that.

Pioneer Trek

Matt and I have been asked to be a Ma & Pa for our Stake Youth Conference Pioneer Trek which is happening at the end of July. We went to a meeting for it last night and I think we are going to have a really neat experience. Tonight Matt has been doing some research and found out so much about our ancestors. We both have so many pioneer ancestors and he was able to use the church website to track down what handcart company they came over in and then you can read specific stories that happened to those people. I didn't know that on our Hart line a Great...Grandfather Doney and his wife were in the 1st handcart company. There are some amazing stories about them. Like their 1st baby died at 1 1/2 years old and they left 2 weeks after her death and had a baby shortly thereafter on the journey. People were also hit by lightning in their company while crossing the Plains.
So about those Webkinz, our kids have been earning a surprise gift for a month and a half. They earned coins for good behavior and for doing their chores. By Sunday they earned enough coins to get their gift and they were so excited that it seemed like Christmas. Webkinz are the hottest toy around here and so they were excited to finally have one because all of their friends have several. They let you have access to an online world where you earn things for your pet and play games online together. For someone ( Me) who doesn't really love computers I actually think it is kind of cool. Wayne and Elaine came to visit us on Sunday and they got to see the new toys. We are all getting excited for school to be out. It is getting hot and we are ready for the summer. School is out June 21st.

Who is Sparky? He is our newest member of our family and our one and only pet - a dog named Sparky. This was Tanner's surprise gift for successfully completing our toilet training course. Everyone in the family loves this dog. Even mom and dad love this dog but mostly for what it represents - NO MORE DIAPERS! After 10 years we are diaper free and loving it.
